Our final favorite summer color scheme of the week AND series — teal and green! This inspiration board is fit for a retro bride who wants a peacock-themed wedding. Wear a feathered headpiece, similar to Sarah Jessica Parker’s in the movie Sex and the City, statement necklace and pair of dangling earrings to show off your unique sense of style. Dress your bridesmaids in sweetheart ruched dresses and groomsmen in solid colored ties, but let your groom stand out in a checker patterned tie. Follow your ring bearer carrying a moss pillow down the aisle with a bouquet of greenery and scabiosa pods. And be sure to make your exit as dramatic as your entrance with a old-fashioned Volkswagen beetle.

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe”
No doubt you have heard the above saying many times. The old English rhyme was traditionally for the items the bride was given by family and attendants for good luck and a long marriage. Today, many brides take this tradition and make it their own. We love when our brides share the fun details of their “somethings”.
Here are a few ideas for you when selecting your something OLD, something NEW, something BORROWED and something BLUE.

The best items of something old are items that hold meaning to you or a loved one. Perhaps a broach worn by your mother, a ring from your grandmother or the cake cutting set your parents used at their wedding. Vintage items are great, but they mean so much more when they have a story that means something to you behind them.
Does you dad have an old car? Use it as your ceremony get away car or grand exit car or just for photos.
Does your mom have a bracelet you LOVE? Ask to wear it.
