Wedding Dresses For A Garden Style Wedding

Posted by Carly on Oct 17, 2012

Our first garden wedding thoughts are always about bouquets featuring the freshest of flowers, such as garden roses and peonies, set in multiple smaller bouquets lining the table. It’s all about bright colors too, which is why teal, coral, and even gold may be a palette to consider. Of course, a garden wedding wouldn’t be complete without a backyard game or two (croquet anyone?).

Below are some of the gowns that we can picture you wearing as you spend the day with your closest family and friends as you’re celebrating in a garden party themed soiree.

Veronica Sheaffer’s collection featured a number of gowns perfect for an outdoor setting, including the Camellia – a tea length Swiss dotted chiffon design. The gown wouldn’t be complete without the flower detail at the waist and a keyhole back.

It’s not tea length, but we couldn’t resist including this Angel Rivera floor length gown because his Spring 2013 collection was inspired by gardens. The stunning floral beaded train caused heads to turn when it walked down the runway, and we think the same will happen when you walk down the aisle. The gown would look fantastic in a tent under the stars.

Josephone by Janet Nelson Kumar continues the floral waist trend. The large flower is offset by a full satin-pleated skirt and spaghetti straps.
