Southern Mississippi Style Shoot Inspiration

Posted by Jeffra on Dec 01, 2011

About this Shoot: Hattiesburg, being a charming medium-sized city in Southeast Mississippi, has its share of wedding vendors and wedding industry players. However, it started to become apparent that people were beginning to go outside of Hattiesburg to get their gowns, their cakes, their photographers and almost everything else! The vision for this project was inspired by exactly that. A mix of both uptown & downtown vendors contributed to this project to create a never-been-done wedding inspiration photo shoot that produced some unbelievable results. Showcasing gorgeous products, skill and design work, this styled editorial brought together a perfect mix of uptown style & downtown charm. With the vision in line with the current southern bridal trends of vintage, rustic whimsy, the vendors worked hard together to feature what they had to offer. This styled shoot was shot in Hattiesburg’s best kept scret, The Venue -a beautifully-refurbished abandoned warehouse now turned into an events/reception venue. The space looks exactly like a loft out of New York City with its ceiling’s inner workings bare for all to see, and weathered red brick interior walls. This location, coupled with a fresh new perspective on photography, rustic dinnerware, such a unique wedding cake, amazing floral design, a gorgeous wedding gown, the cutest mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses, rustic furniture and accent pieces, the editorial shoot was a great success and loved by everyone involved. Event styling was created & produced by Stephanie Bishop of Daniel & Steph Photography and Film and Adam Evans of Click Boutique & Gallery.
