Even though President Barack Obama will be participating in the first presidential debate Wednesday night against Republican nominee Mitt Romney, Obama has something else to celebrate–his 20th wedding anniversary with his wife, Michelle. On Oct. 3, 1992, Barack and Michelle Obama married at Trinity United in Chicago with around 200 of their closest family and friends, according to People.

“Twenty years ago today, I married the love of my life and my best friend,” Obama tweeted. “Happy anniversary, Michelle!” In response, Michelle tweeted back, “Happy 20th anniversary, Barack. Thank you for being an incredible partner, friend and father every day. I love you!”

On her wedding day, Michelle wore an off-the-shoulder, long-sleeved white gown. But if her wedding were today, what kind of dress would she wear? Here’s what we know: Michelle likes to make a statement with bold colors and body-conscious cuts that emphasize her figure. Maybe she would wear an empire, one-shoulder tulle gown, similar to what she wore to the presidential inauguration in 2010. Or maybe she would wear a short-sleeved, tea-length dress with a birdcage veil. Congrats Barack and Michelle!
