Q & A with the Bride:

What was the one thing about your venue that made you know it was the one?

The incredible amount of natural light! I knew that I wanted a brunch time wedding so when I saw the giant windows on every wall, I knew that Belle Rose Maison would be the perfect place for my big day.

Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?

My three favorite details were my bouquet, my cake and my “something blue.” I gave the florist a lot of freedom on how the bouquets should look because I learned that we have very similar tastes for what is cool and what looks good. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how beautiful and colorful they were! I loved the look and the taste of my cake! Every layer was a different flavor with different icing. My something blue was actually a piece of lace from my mother’s wedding dress I had tied around my garter. Her wedding dress was actually blue!

Give us the one moment in your wedding day you can’t stop thinking about.

I was so excited when the band took the stage. We had three friends of ours playing acoustic guitars and singing during the reception. The best part is that Derek and I met watching these guys perform on a patio in Kemah, so it was a special touch to have them back together playing for our wedding reception.
