The Best of Bridal Market: Jennifer’s Bridal

Posted by Kim on May 18, 2012

We’re asking bridal salon owners from around the country to share their favorite hot-off-the-runway looks from the most recent Bridal Market. Today, we’re talking to Jennifer Kienzle and Amy Hauser of Jennifer’s Bridal in Hockessin, Delaware. Here’s what they had to say:

Q: Was there one collection or gown that you thought was the “best of market?”

Lazaro was amazing, as usual. His use of beautiful traditional fabrics, exquisite laces and beading in contemporary styles makes every bride feel like her wedding aisle is a runway. He is so talented and we look forward to his collection every season.

Q: Of all the gowns that featured color (pink, blue, black, etc.), was there one or two that you think brides will fall in love with?

We loved Blush by Hayley Paige‘s gown called Lilac. The soft, beautiful, subtle shade is inspiring for any spring or summer wedding.

So far, we’ve found out which wedding dress color you love (pink!), the best back (illusion, by a hair), the sleeves you’re swooning over (cap), and the modern lace treatment you like (bold). And today, we’re talking about one of the biggest trends that hit market this year: peplums!

A peplum is a ruffled overskirt that provides a unique silhouette to a gown – and they were in abundance this season. We saw them in all shapes, sizes, and fabrications, so we wanted to know if you’re a fan of the whole trend and if so, if you prefer your peplum to be big, small, or something in between.

So tell us:

How big do you like your peplums?
