Leona and Ciaran were married at the historical Ballintubber Abbey, which was founded in 1216 by Cathal Crovderg O’ Connor, on October 11. Guests were greeted inside with a ceremony booklet amongst decorative pine cones and lanterns. The bride walked down the aisle following her adorable flower girls and ring bearers in a heavy silk gown with a bateau neckline. Bouquets featured red roses, berries, apples, daisies, and scabiosa pods. After saying their “I do’s,” the newlyweds exited the church under a sea of paddles used in the Irish sport Hurling, which the groom and many of his friends play. The reception followed at The Lodge at Ashforth Castle where centerpieces were filled with branches of leaves and a cupcake-shaped cake and tea was served.
