Gwyn & Sam
On Tuesday, we shared a red, white, and blue wedding that took place on July 4th weekend last year. Today’s wedding took place on the exact same day – but has a totally different look and feel! While going all-American is fun for a July 4th wedding, this wedding proves you certainly don’t have to (though taking a few patriotic portraits is always a nice touch!)!
Our Q&A with the Bride:
Which three details from your wedding were your favorites?
1. Our flowers, especially around the ceremony site.
2. The fireworks!
3. Our invitations
And there was so much more: the sno-cones, cotton candy, my dress, the timing and location of the ceremony and reception, the oyster bar, specialty cocktails, having my father’s cufflinks in my bouquet (he passed away 14 years ago), my mom walking me down the aisle, my string quartet playing pop music during cocktail hour…
If you could offer one piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding, what would it be?
Take it in stride. You can’t control it all, and some of the details you weren’t expecting will be your favorites.
Tell us about the one moment from your wedding day that you can’t stop thinking about.
Looking into Sam’s eyes and reciting the vows that we wrote for each other.
And check out Gwyn and Sam’s beautiful wedding video, too!
