Here at WeddingWire, we are pretty much obsessed with two things: weddings and puppies. So when a story comes along that combines the two, well, we just have to share it with you ASAP.

According to photographer Caroline Logan, Pennsylvania couple Sarah and Matt came up with the genius idea to have their wedding party carry rescue puppies—and of course, Caroline, a dog lover herself, was totally onboard! Five of the puppies are sisters, and are named after the first five First Ladies: Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth, and Louisa (seriously, could this be any cuter?). The bride is holding is a nine-week old pitbull rescue pup named Biggie Smalls.

Aside from adding an extra dose of cuteness to the photos, the puppies helped the bridesmaids and groomsmen relax and get comfortable in front of the camera. Says Caroline: “While photographing six rambunctious puppies definitely brought an added challenge, it also caused the bridal party to be more at ease. Having something to divert attention from that uncomfortable “Oh my goodness, I’m getting my picture taken… what do I do with my hands?!” feeling to pure puppy bliss made for relaxed photos where the bridal party was able to focus on interacting with the fun-loving puppies as I documented it all unfold.”

And, in case you’re wondering, the puppies were perfectly behaved and there were no accidents!

Check out the wedding photos below. And, if you’re interested, the puppies are all up for adoption via Pitties Love Peace (here’s their Facebook page), which is where the bride works.

Chicago-area couples gathered with their friends, family, and bridal parties to experience the rustic beauty of The Haight for the WeddingWire End of Summer Soirée. While mingling with other engaged couples, they enjoyed meeting talented wedding vendors from the Chicagoland area and seeing first-hand how the details of a real wedding all come together. Take a peek into the event, expertly captured by Hazelton Photography.

Couples enjoyed freshly prepared bites by My Chef Catering, who cooked shrimp in a beurre blanc sauce to order and also passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the event.

Guests sipped specialty cocktails and champagne, poured by Chicago Beverage Catering.

The creations of Town & Country Gardens added romantic ambiance through their gorgeous florals and charming lantern-adorned table runners.

IMAGE5Couples and their friends received metallic tattoos and expert beauty advice from Style by Bravura.

As guests mingled, David Rothstein Music provided a warm and bright piano score that perfectly suited the evening.

Couples looked forward to hearing from Leanne, from You Name It Events, who offered her top wedding planning tips, helping guests gain insight into the most important aspects of planning the perfect, stress-free day.

As a special way to celebrate their engagement, Cara Dunning provided caricatures for the engaged couples, who loved having a special memento from the event.

Guests enjoyed getting their photos taken with thePIXbooth, whose wide selection of fun and funny props made for some hilarious photos.

The Sugar Path sweetened the evening with mini cupcakes, s’mores bars, and cake jar favors.
