New York Bridal Market Three of a Kind: Sequins

Posted by Kim on Apr 15, 2012

These flat glistening circles can add both color and shimmer to a wedding or bridesmaid dress. This season designers chose to soften the look of sequins by covering them with a tulle overlay, adding tiny clear ones to twinkle in the light or go bold with an all-over sequin dress for bridesmaids. Here are few styles with sequins we saw on the runway:

Monique Lhuillier (far left) placed rows of tiny white sequins in a modern, yet romantic pattern.

Bridesmaids who have been told to buy a little black dress are sure to opt for this capped sleeve cocktail number by Alfred Angelo (center).

Mixing silver sequins and bugle beads on a lace gown Carolina Herrera (far right) added Hollywood glamour to this elegant dress.
