Five Fabulous Looks by Maggie Sottero

Posted by Bridal Market on Oct 17, 2011

A little bit of glam. A little bit of drama. A little bit of tradition. Maggie Sottero has a little bit of something for every bride. These are five of the looks we loved:

Horsehair: Adding a bit of oomph to an already full skirt, Maggie Sottero added ruffles of horsehair to make this skirt as voluminous as possible. Top it off with a crystal embellished bodice and you have a gorgeous gown for a ballroom wedding.

Back Draping: Remembering that many guests will spend the night looking at your back choose a gown which makes a statement whether you’re coming or going. This column gown features a beautifully draped back with a beaded necklace embellishment. If you’re looking for a dress with sex appeal, this is it.

Little White Dress: For a garden wedding, city hall or as a reception party dress, the little white dress is on everyone’s runway. This version, with a full knee-length skirt, has lace appliques on the skirt and bodice.

Peek-a-Boo Bling: This draped satin trumpet silhouette, which hugs the body in all the right places, has a little bit of something extra. Underneath the sort of cowl neckline is encrusted beading and crystals peeking out. The beading and crystal detailing also enhances the gown’s spaghetti straps.

Bow Detailing: For a bride looking for a small embellishment on her wedding gown’s bodice a bow is a chic detail that has a big impact. It’s both classic and understated.
