If you’re starting to think about your wedding color scheme and style, you should also factor in what shade your bridesmaids will be wearing. Remember that your bridesmaids aren’t just there for moral support, they also serve as an important decor element (yes, we know how weird that sounds – but it’s true!). Check out the four hottest bridesmaid dress colors for 2013 (and venues where they’ll look their best):

Coral: This bright shade was hot at the 2013 Golden Globes – and on the bridal market runways. We think coral looks gorgeous at beach weddings, or really any warm-weather celebrations.

Gray: Whether you prefer a more silvery tone or a darker charcoal, we love this sleek and modern hue as a replacement for black at formal ballroom weddings.

Green: Emerald is Pantone’s 2013 Color of the Year, and we think it makes a beautiful shade for bridesmaid dressesparticularly if you’re hosting a modern wedding in a loft or art gallery.

Blush: If your wedding will take place in a garden, there’s perhaps no more appropriate shade than super-feminine blush. Choose a light and airy fabric, like chiffon, for a totally garden-appropriate look.
