Here at WeddingWire, we are pretty much obsessed with two things: weddings and puppies. So when a story comes along that combines the two, well, we just have to share it with you ASAP.

According to photographer Caroline Logan, Pennsylvania couple Sarah and Matt came up with the genius idea to have their wedding party carry rescue puppies—and of course, Caroline, a dog lover herself, was totally onboard! Five of the puppies are sisters, and are named after the first five First Ladies: Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth, and Louisa (seriously, could this be any cuter?). The bride is holding is a nine-week old pitbull rescue pup named Biggie Smalls.

Aside from adding an extra dose of cuteness to the photos, the puppies helped the bridesmaids and groomsmen relax and get comfortable in front of the camera. Says Caroline: “While photographing six rambunctious puppies definitely brought an added challenge, it also caused the bridal party to be more at ease. Having something to divert attention from that uncomfortable “Oh my goodness, I’m getting my picture taken… what do I do with my hands?!” feeling to pure puppy bliss made for relaxed photos where the bridal party was able to focus on interacting with the fun-loving puppies as I documented it all unfold.”

And, in case you’re wondering, the puppies were perfectly behaved and there were no accidents!

Check out the wedding photos below. And, if you’re interested, the puppies are all up for adoption via Pitties Love Peace (here’s their Facebook page), which is where the bride works.

Today, we’re sharing a story that stopped us in our tracks and has us reaching for the closest box of tissues. Happy tears, we promise!

When family and friends arrived to Jaquie Farmer and Andy Goncher’s wedding, the guests didn’t know that they were about to get the surprise of a lifetime. Jaquie, who was left paralyzed after a swimming accident in 2008, had been in a wheelchair ever since she was 17 years old. She didn’t know if she would ever be able to walk again, but she was determined to try. Over the next several years, Jaquie spent hundreds of hours going to the gym and doing physical therapy, hoping to regain the strength to stand on her own again someday.

She met Andy through a dating app in 2013. He proposed two years later, and that’s when Jaquie made it her goal to walk down the aisle and dance wheelchair-free at their wedding.

When the big day arrived on May 22, 2016, Jaquie stunned everyone by getting out of her wheelchair and walking down the aisle, her mom and grandfather by her side. Amazingly, the bride was able to stand for most of the wedding, including the newlyweds’ first dance. Watch the sweet video below!

The bride, who looked stunning in her blush tulle and lace gown by Elizabeth Dye, is an inspiration to all of us here at WeddingWire. Congratulations, Jaquie and Andy!

In honor of engaged couples sharing their #justsaidyes moments with us on Instagram, we just had to share this adorable proposal. This man filmed his own version of the “Rude” music video and played it for his girlfriend at the local movie theater, which happened to be filled with their family and friends. After leaving the theater for a few minutes, he reappeared to ask her the question of a lifetime. Between the amount of planning and her reaction, good luck not tearing up!

Actress Amy Poehler is already a pro at winning us over with her witty humor, but here at WeddingWire, we think she could have another career in her future: wedding pianist! On November 3, at a church in Pasadena, Calif., Poehler was on hand for a reading of “Portlandia” actress Carrie Brownstein’s book, “Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl: A Memoir.” During the Q&A portion of the event, a fan named Kendall stepped up to the mic and requested that Brownstein marry her and her partner, Genevieve, right then and there! It turns out that Brownstein is a licensed wedding officiant, and after some encouragement from Poehler, she agreed to perform the impromptu wedding. The ever-so-thoughtful Poehler quickly made bouquets for Kendall and Genevieve before taking a seat behind the church’s piano. You can hear her playing some (amateur) notes as the couple exchange their handwritten vows. We have to say that Brownstein did a fantastic job as the officiant, even providing Kendall and Genevieve with some heartfelt marriage advice that had us a bit teary-eyed. See for yourself in the video above!
