Recent Do It Yourself Posts
I had seen a previous post from Morning Glory Blossom about wedding programs and if they are worth the money or not. So, for our wedding, I wanted to do something different from the normal ceremony programs that guests receive (and most of the time just throw away, what a waste!). My wedding planner, Liz of Eventfully Beautiful, created this beautiful chalkboard ceremony board that I just loved!
The inspiration came from here, a wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. Don’t you just love it? And it saved hundreds of dollars in paper!
A few months back I did a post on the recent purchase of sparklers for our wedding, and now, I’m working on the little details that go with it!
I love the signage from this wedding, and the sparkler holders are so fun!

I started playing around with some of the fonts on Word to see what I like best.
I haven’t quite finished yet, but this just gives you an idea of what I’m going for. Can’t wait to share pictures with you all of our sparkler exit, which will be happening in about 12 days!
Hello Garden! I wanted to share with you a really amazing little DIY that’s super easy and also looks great! I came across these paper orchids on Ellinee, a beautiful paper and DIY blog that has tons of great ideas for all kinds of events. All you have to do is print out the template they provide, cut out the pieces and hot glue them together with their easy instructions. I made these orchids to go on top of my bridesmaids gifts.
They also come in a pretty pink color. You could even use these in your wedding decor or for a bridal shower; pretty impressive for paper, don’t you think?

This past weekend, I was working on some custom labels for the Chinese take out boxes that will be used for our candy bar at the wedding. And thanks to the Wedding Chicks, I think I found the perfect logo! Here it is:
I purchased some Avery round labels like these here. They were $14.99, but there is a $7 rebate that you can complete online to get some of your money back. It was super simple; I just downloaded Avery’s online template and adjusted the monogram onto it.
I had to move the circles around a tad bit to make them center, but other than that I had no problems. Here’s the finished product: I love it!
The gals over at Wedding Chicks have some really cute designs to chose from, you can check them all out here. I think these will add an extra special touch to our wedding day 🙂

Will you be walking down the aisle with a non-floral bouquet? We love how this bouquet is filled with vintage heirlooms.
