Bridal Market Recap: The Dessy Group

Posted by Jeffra on Apr 19, 2011

Comprised of Alfred Sung, After Six, Dessy, Lela Rose Bridesmaids and Social Bridesmaids, The Dessy Group has the largest selection of stylish bridesmaid dresses in a rainbow of colors with coordinating bridal party accessories.

If you haven’t already tried it, Dessy and Pantone have a really cool inspiration board tool that will let you create dress boards for your wedding.

I picked one fabulous bridesmaid dress from each line to share with you with one caveat, that your bridesmaids will want to wear them again.  What do you think?  Could your girls wear any of these dresses again?

1 – One-shoulder or asymmetrical necklines are popular on the red carpet so your bridesmaids are sure to approve of this After Six bridesmaid dress.  The designer added a flutter sleeve, which I think is a nice added detail.

2 – This strapless cocktail dress by Alfred Sung has a criss cross draped bodice, which I like better than a similar style dress with a flat bodice.  I think I pulled a wedding dress by Amsale with a similar draped bodice as one of my favorites of the season.  If your wedding is formal, this dress is also available in floor length.

3 – I just LOVE this dress by Dessy.  It feels very vintage to me.  The strapless, empire waist stretch tulle gown has a silver sequin bodice and a tulle overlay. The tulle stretch capelet is removable, but it looks so fabulous on why would you remove it?!

4 – Lela Rose’s off the shoulder cocktail dress has a gathered fold at the neckline and I immediately thought of Jackie Kennedy when I saw it.  It’s also available in a floor length version.

5 – Social Bridesmaids is a line that was created specifically for dresses that can be worn again and again.  This one-shoulder charmeuse dress features a wide kimono sleeve.  I would definitely wear this as a wedding guest or to a cocktail party.
