My husband and I got married a couple weeks ago, and my mom really wanted to have a day-of wedding coordinator. I was unsure, and argued that we could handle everyone ourselves and we didn't need one. But she insisted and hired one. Long-story-short, our coordinator had an emergency and could not be at our wedding. (We found out 3 days prior to our wedding!). She talked to Kathy, the owner of Your Dream Day, who agreed to be with us the day of our wedding. I was wondering, how in three days can someone possibly get everything together? But, let me say, the day of our wedding without Kathy we would have been in trouble!!! She thought of things we never would have thought about (like bringing something to put the Unity Candle in-we never would have thought of that!). She scoped out the sites prior to our wedding day and found which areas were good for getting ready, which had air conditioning and which were hot! She attended the rehearsal and was good at keeping our rowdy group focused without being harsh. The day of, she even brought a cooler full of water and snacks for us! She kept everything and everyone on time (even the groomsmen!), and attended to all of my needs, questions, nerves, etc. Kathy figured out my bustle (which no one else could!) was on her hands and knees spot cleaning my train, and right before the Church doors opened she gave me a hug and reminded me to enjoy every minute, that this was our day:) Throughout the day, she would come to me if I needed her (same for my husband) and all other times she was making sure everything was going smoothly. She even brought sandwiches to the guys while they were getting ready! Also, she confirmed everything with all our vendors, and was there personally to make sure everything arrived and was in good shape. I could go on-and-on about everything she did, but to sum it up, Kathy did it ALL! After our wedding, I had to agree with my mom that we not only needed a wedding coordinator for the day-of, but we needed Kathy. She was efficient, calming, and just so sweet and fun to be around. She had a true positive energy that was exactly what we wanted and needed. Kathy was one person that we could not have done without, and I highly recommend working with her if you want your wedding day to be as smooth and wonderful as ours!
