Great service to help plan your big day!
Brian Green of F & G Events will see to it that your special day is planned perfectly down to the most minute detail. He is definitely a "people person", so he won't be one of those "cut and run" vendors that you have to proactively chase down. I recommend his services without reservation...

Tips and Advice
VENDOR TIPS
Get specific contracts with your vendors - planner, DJ, florists, caterers, photographer.  Make sure you have everything in writing.  Be sure to ask for any additional costs that could be charged to you such as traveling, over time, sales taxes etc. Insist on all the details in the contract. A good vendor should have no problem supplying these items up front.

Always hire a planner that you are excited to work with on your wedding.  There is no point hiring someone that will not make this process fun for you and for themselves.

GREEN TIPS
Everyone is thinking eco-friendly today.  it's the latest trend and it doesnt mean you can't have a fabulous wedding,  but there are ways to think green and be glamorous.

Support Your local vendors.
To have your wedding flowers shipped from another country will create a large carbon footprint.  Go to your local wholesaler or florist.  You're supporting businesses in your community and you are reducing carbon emmissions.

Consider having locally-grown or organic food served during your reception.  Again, think locally.  instead of hiring a caterer from outside your town or city, look into local caterers to reduce your big day’s carbon footprint.

GOOD TO KNOW TIPS

Rent a small photo booth for the reception. Any pictures taken by your guests can serve as instant souvenir items and they also give everyone a chance to loosen up and be more relaxed in photographs.

Don't plan to leave on your honeymoon immediately after the reception. This invites disappointment and sometmes disaster because you both will be extremely exhausted after the wedding. Wait a few days before you pack and take off on your honeymoon.

COST SAVING TIPS

As weddings can be extremely costly and you don't want to start your life together in debt, be creative when planning your wedding and reception and find ways to cut costs. Remember it is your wedding and while you want your guests to enjoy themselves, this day is all about you and your vision.

After the wedding reception is over, what remains are your pictures and your video. These are the only 2 services that last a lifetime.  So hire a photographer that gives you your negatives, that way you can make as many copies of pictures from your wedding day as you want without having to order them from your photographer.   If they won't include them, then find out how long they will keep your negatives (as most will only keep them a few years.) and what they will do with them after that time.

You really don't need your photographer to stay until the last person has left.  Once you have tossed your bouquet etc, there are no more major events to capture on film.  To be honest, your 1st & last dances will look the same on film.Unless you plan on keeping your bouquet on display in your home, don't bother with a duplicate to toss.  Instead of tossing your whole bouquet, just pick one flower to throw.
