Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We use industry leading professional full-frame digital cameras. Our vintage film cameras may be included upon request. Our post production involves a highly detailed process, which includes "timeless" creative treatments on some selections, as well as standard optimization on all images. We do not "shoot and burn."
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Any photographer will tell you natural daylight is best, but we have shot indoor weddings with low light, no flash, and even candle light. With our experience and professional cameras, we can handle most environments.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We use digital full frame professional cameras. Traditional film may be included (additional fees) with digital coverage. We have classic 35mm as well as other vintage large and medium format cameras.
How many photographers do you work with?
We are a two-photographer team.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
We are a two-photographer team. If others come in our place they are wedding crashers!
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
In order to provide the best high-quality services possible for each couple, we take a limited number of weddings per year, and we rarely accept more than one per weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We have experienced professional associates that can fill-in for us in case of an emergency.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Primary and back up cameras, lenses, flashes, and other accessories. Large location lighting equipment is only brought upon request and when included in service agreement.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Do you charge for travel?
Travel fees only apply for weddings more than 60 miles from our studio in Chicago. We are also available for destination weddings and will travel world-wide.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
4 to 6 weeks
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
proofs are online, high-resolution print-ready processed files are archived on DVD
How long can the client keep the proofs?
proofs are "live" online for minimally four months, but can be extended for longer periods
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
couples are granted limited usage - private printing rights are granted, commercial copyright is reserved by photographers
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Will images be available for viewing online?

What kind of albums do you offer?
Premium book bound, flush mount and coffee table styles, all are custom designed "storybook" albums.
When will the client get the final album?
Six to eight weeks after the order is placed. After picture selections are finalized, album design takes about two weeks, then upon design approval, six to eight weeks from the order date.
