Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Kansas City, Carolyn's journey into the world of events began with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Retail Floriculture from Kansas State University. With over two decades of experience in the Interior Design field, Carolyn's passion for creating stunning atmospheres led her to launch Innovative Lighting & Design in 2006, a boutique lighting and event production company specializing in weddings, galas, and social events.

In 2018, Carolyn's love for historic venues and her commitment to excellence in event planning led her to acquire The Vox Theatre. Originally a silent movie house, Carolyn saw the potential to transform it into a premier event space. As the proud owner of The Vox Theatre Event Space, Carolyn is dedicated to preserving its rich history while infusing it with modern elegance.
