Virginia’s House is an elegant home built in 1913 and is used today to host many types of functions. Our main business is weddings and receptions, however, we also love to accommodate all other kinds of events. Our parties have included small graduation ceremonies, bridal luncheons, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, tea parties for all ages (the little girls get "special" treatment) and birthday parties. We will also host family gatherings after funeral or memorial services.

We are located in historic Glendale on the southwest corner of 59th Drive and Glendale - that's one block west of 59th Avenue. Built in 1913, the historic C.H. Tinker Home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The home was featured on HGTV’s Restore America as the Showcase house, giving a brief history and several "before/after" images of the home. What a truly remarkable experience!! Most recently, the house has also been featured on Glendale's KGLN Channel 11 Historic Hidden Treasures.  More information on it’s history can be found on our website (www.virginiashouse.com) under "About Virginia’s House".

We can accommodate up to 125 guests in our garden, but are not too large to host smaller occasions, as well. Our facility recently underwent a major renovation. We now have a new building that houses our handicapped-accessible restrooms, caterer's kitchen and buffet serving room. We also have 1,900 square feet of covered patio. Our gardens are complete with mature trees, flowering plants and a beautiful winding brick pathway to our gazebo.

Our price includes tables, chairs, linens (white or ivory), centerpieces, decorations (in your colors), set-up, clean-up and coordination the week of and day of your event. You would be responsible for bringing your own caterer (to include self-catering), cake, photographer, minister, DJ, etc. We do have referrals for these vendors, but do not require you to use them or penalize you for not using them. They are just the folks we trust when hosting our own events. Their links can be found under "preferred vendors" on our website (www.virginiashouse.com) or at www.westvalleyweddingassociation.com.

We require a $500 deposit when you sign your contract. One-third of the total amount is due 30 days after your contract date. The remaining two-thirds is due 30 days prior to your event. Monthly payment plans also available. We accept online credit and debit card payments. We also have a $300 damage deposit payable with your final payment and is refundable after your event. Also, keep in mind our prices listed below are our contract prices - no service fees, taxes or gratuities will be added.

We allow beer, wine and champagne to be served at Virginia's House. We require you to hire our bartender and security guard for $150 each for the duration of your event if you plan to serve alcohol. You may also hire a bartending service that holds the appropriate liability insurance. When using our bartender and security guard, you would be responsible for providing your own alcohol and service items.

E&H Catering Services	We catered a wedding at Virginia's House in the Historic area of Glendale. Beautiful! The house itself has a wonderful story and is tastefully decorated with many antiques. The ladies who ran the venue went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly for the bride, groom, and guests. These ladies really care and it shows.

Natalie Stahl, the owner of this historic venue, knows everything there is to know about beautiful weddings on a budget, and she is a wizard at finding ways to maximize the impact of every penny spent. When you talk to Natalie, be candid with her about what you need to accomplish, and she will do everything in her power to ensure that your wedding day is everything you want it to be. Hey Bartender! LLC Bartending Service	Neat venue, neat gals that run the place! I have worked at almost every venue in the metro Phoenix area with my bartending company Hey, Bartender! LLC and I have to say that the gals at Virginia's House were some of the nicest people I have come across in my 6+yrs in the wedding business. Not only that, but the venue itself is very unique and so darn cute. Highly recommended from an insiders perspective!
Moments in Film Photography	I have had the pleasure of shooting a number of events at Virginia's house and every inch of the property lends itself to great photo opportunities. It is a hidden treasure in the West Valley: idyllic venue, quaint, attentive staff, lush gardens and unbelievably beautiful. Natalie does a wonderful job caring for her couples and it shows in the pictures- happy couples, happy guests, great events. There really is something special about a venue that embodies making the bride the center of the universe for their special day, and you can absolutely find that here.

Are there any special characteristics about this venue such as scenery or architecture? Virginia's House is the Historic CH Tinker home in downtown Glendale. Our customer service is second to none.

How many people does the space *comfortably* accommodate? 125

How does your venue determine the cost of the space? Fees based on type of event and number of people. Prices range from $550 (up to 10 guests; 1 hour) to $3,675 (up to 125 guests; 6 hours).

Do you offer any special services? Our facility is available for any occasion.

Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners? We are willing to work with couples to come up with packages that will accommodate their needs.

Do you offer an on-site wedding consultant? Yes

Do you offer additional items for the ceremony? We provide the chairs, decorations, ceremony music, microphone, set-up, clean-up and rehearsal.

Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware? Tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces and decorations are included in our price. We will help secure other rental items as necessary.

What is your staff-to-guest ratio? 1 staff per 25 guests.

Do you require brides to use a specific list of vendors? No. Very flexible with bride's own vendors.

Do you require the wedding party to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is there an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians? No requirement. No additional fees.

Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion? Our price includes use of all available rooms.

Do you have cooking facilities? We have a warming/serving kitchen. All cooking needs to be done elsewhere.

Do you provide your own catering? If yes, can a bride opt to use an outside caterer if she prefers? No on-site catering provided. Bride may use any caterer she wishes - to include self-catering.

Do you have a liquor license? No.

Can the bride provide her own alcohol if desired? Yes. Bartender and security guard required when alcohol being served. Beer, wine and champagne only.

How many power outlets does the venue have? Ample power outlets for caterer, DJ, etc.

What restrictions are there (if any) on decorations? No restrictions.

What restrictions are there (if any) on photography? No restrictions.

What restrictions are there (if any) on videography? No restrictions.

What restrictions are there (if any) on music? Must be off by 10pm per City of Glendale ordinance.

What restrictions are there (if any) on attire? No restrictions.
