Describe your DJ style:
At Versatile we have what we like to call an adaptive style of entertaining. All of our Party Hosts and DJs are professionally trained and can handle a wide margin of styles. We understand no two brides (and grooms) are alike and what is requested for one may be hated by another. We cater to the wants and needs of clients and couples. We keep up to date with musical selection, technological advances in our industry, and are constantly training to stay sharp. We aim to please! Proudly we're recommended by over 60 banquet facilities in New Jersey alone and also work very closely with other wedding professionals such as photographers videographers, florists, wedding planning specialists, and many more!
What is your usual attire?
Full tuxedo attire to all events unless specifically told otherwise. Black tuxedo shirt, pants, shoes, jacket, and custom Versatile vest!
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
All of our music lists are constantly updated and each Party Host is required to have ALL the music on these lists. However if we are unable to obtain the song (i.e. it's a very rare/ethnic song) we will work with the bride and groom to obtain it prior the day of the event!
How many other DJs do you work with?
There are approximately 25 professionally trained Party Hosts and DJs in our company!
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
There is no minimum or maximum time we require for any event!
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Absolutely, as a matter of fact it is a part of our services! We meet with the bride and groom anywhere from a two weeks to 30 days before their special event to iron out ANY and ALL details. Multiple meetings are also very doable if you should so choose!
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Yes, our Party Hosts and DJs hail from a wide margin of backgrounds ranging from Spanish, Italian, Greek, Irish and more!
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. Each Party Host has not only their own professional, well-kept equipment, but also access to additional equipment the company has!
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Yes; we have nothing but the most professional lighting systems, intelligent lights, light specialists, and party favor packages. Additionally, you can pick and choose, for example, to have only lights, only a fog machine, only party favors, or all of them for your special day!
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
Set up normally takes approximately twenty minutes, however all of our Party Hosts and DJs arive to your event at least one hour prior to event. Also, we do ask that the facility provide a table for us!
Do you have any extra space requirements?
Any and all space requirements can be assessed when you meet with your Versatile Party Host/DJ. If your wedding package you've chosen requires more space than normal (i.e. staging, upgraded light shows, upgraded sound systems, etc...) your Party Host/DJ will contact the banquet facility and work out the specific details.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Yes. Our Party Hosts have wireless and wired microphones and are more than qualified to emcee an event in its entirety!
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Meal break is not required, however seeing as we have great reputation with banquet facilities, they do feed us, and do appreciate it!
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
If your event should have any breaks (i.e. dinner, special dedications) yes, we have music for such situations!
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, all of our Party Hosts and DJs are professionally trained and at least 21 years of age! If something should happen to your party host, we have what we call the "magic number 7." We black-out a date once we reach 7 events and keep back-up crews available. This not only prepares us for worst case senario, but also that your business is NOT sub-let to any other company.
