Stuart Scott is a non denominational wedding officiant that provides wedding services on St Thomas and St John in the gorgeous United States Virgin Islands.  He can provide simple wedding services that include helping you file the paperwork, picking you up at your hotel or cruiseship, bringing you to the courthouse to pickup the paperwork, and then on to your ceremony site and of course back again. 

All of his ceremonies are personalized with information he collects from the groom on the day of the wedding.  His ceremonies are upbeat, with a little humor, and of course some tears.  He can perform ceremonies on a boat, deserted island, beach, villa, anywhere you can imagine even underwater for those SCUBA enthusiasts.  He can also provide some simple wedding planning items like champagne with glass flutes, bucket etc, and assistance in booking flowers and transportation. 

He has also officiated many interfaith weddings with and without a Jewish officiant, same sex commitment ceremonies, vow renewals, and even group weddings and vow renewals.  He tries to make each and every ceremony he performs personal and reflective of the couple and their needs and backgrounds.  He works for all of the major hotels on the islands, including the famed Ritz Carlton Resort, as well as many of the idependent wedding planners so he can always give you advice if you need it.

What is the paperwork process in the United States Virgin Islands? 

Actually getting married here is much simpler than in the mainland United States or anywhere else in the Caribbean.  You just mail in the paperwork at least a week before you want to get married and when you are on island just stop at the courthouse for literally 10 minutes to pick it up and you are on your way.  And since we are US there are no residency requirements, no blood tests, no nothing.  And yes it is all legal and I’ve married over 1000 couples from all over the world.  It really is that simple.    

What else do you provide other than officiating?

I will help coordinate a small wedding.  I can provide champagne, transportation assistance, help you order flowers.  Anything else like chairs, arches, cake, receptions, I would recommend a wedding planner.  If you decide to get married on a boat or a deserted island I can help arrange that as well.  I also provide lots of free advice and the ins and out of where to stay (my brides get a discount for a condo w/ kitchen overlooking the water $100 a night), where to eat as the popular places are not always cracked up to what they say they are in the travel brochures, etc etc.
