Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We are experts in post processing of images and offer just about anything out in the art world. We are teachers and instructors to other professional photographers around the world on many techniques including our outdoor portrait lighting techniques.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
When it comes to light, well this is what TriCoast became world famous for. We teach almost monthly on the subject to other photographers and have several books written about TriCoast and our style of lighting.
Is your media preference film or digital?
TriCoast is 100% digital professional Canon camera gear company.
How many photographers do you work with?
TriCoast has 5 professional photographers in the company all with talent unique and special. We were just named Kodak's world wide photographers to watch for 2008 due to our team work of talent.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes we do, a contract is always signed for each event guaranteeing both parties to certain things.
TriCoast Photography will guarantee your wedding day - but NOT your wedding night :)
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No TriCoast Photography only books one wedding for 2 photographers so you as a client can relax and know we are there for you and only you on your special day.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We have many photographers not only within the TriCoast family but also around the world which assist us if needed.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We have the state of the art Canon professional Equipment. We feel they are tools of the trade and to build the best photograph you sometimes need the best tools, well we have them!
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We have backups to our backups, again its part of being called a professional.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
We charge for a 4 hour min. up to 10 hours and anything in between. Other situations can be arranged upon request.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
$300.00 USD per hour
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
None, we work all day long, minus the dinner time.
Do you charge for travel?
We charge basic travel expenses (airfare, hotel, transportation, food, etc) We do not make money on travel but we do not loose money either.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
4 to 6 weeks to have a proof album, sooner for online proofing and viewing.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We offer many versions and products for proofs, from hard copy, proof albums of many sizes, CD's/DVD's, and online digital versions.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proofs are the clients to keep, its part of the package when they choose TriCoast.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
TriCoast always retains the copyright of the photographs, however if a version of the digital negatives are purchased by the client, a partial personal copyright release can be given to the client in order to print out copies of the portraits and artwork pieces.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, TriCoast is published almost monthly in magazines all over the world, every event we capture we retain the right to publish the photographs due to this. Also being world wide leaders in the teaching field of photographs the photographs can be used to teach the future of photography as well.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes we do offer our clients to purchase a version of digital negatives.
Will images be available for viewing online?
We are sponsored by Collages.net, the leader in the professional industry in online hosting of images as well as many other products our clients, so yes our images are online.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer a wide range of cutting edge albums from traditional to edgy and everything in between.
When will the client get the final album?
The final book timeline depends on the amount of changes and detail which we create for our clients. All one of a kind custom products we work closely one on one with our clients to produce a final book/album which they are proud of. We refuse to just "design and give" an album. To us this is the key to the wedding day and we treat it so.
