Torte Bella is located in beautiful Austin, Texas and specializes in “baking memories for all occasions”. This includes custom cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes and cookies – always made individually and fresh for your event. We work closely with every customer to create a unique and delicious cake for any celebration or occasion. It will truly be a feast for the eyes and the palette. For a wedding cake, the first step is to schedule a consultation appointment with us to discuss your ideas. We encourage you to bring fabric swatches of the tablecloths, and/or the bridesmaids dresses, along with any pictures of meaning (such as flowers, venue, and magazines) or whatever else might help us to interpret your desires. For a specialty cake, cupcakes or cookies, a consultation appointment is optional. Many times, we can satisfy your desires using email and telephone conversations without the necessity of a detailed consultation. We have suggestions to fit your budget. You will receive the same quality service whether your event is for 25 or 2500 or more people. Our gourmet custom designed special occasion cakes will make you the best hostess in your group. Following the consultation or our discussions, you are presented with a detailed contract, specifying all the custom selections and a sketch of our design, typically within 48 hours. A deposit of 50% is required to confirm and reserve a specific date and the balance is due two weeks prior to the event. Please book early to get your date confirmed! Tracy Frech Executive Pastry Chef, Master Wilton Confectionary Artist and Instructor, Graduate of Texas Culinary Academy Cake Designer & Co-Owner Torte Bella Tracy is a native of Texas and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Texas Culinary Academy in Austin, TX (which is a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institution). She is the former Garde Manger at La Ventana and Executive Pastry chef at a large landmark restaurant in Austin. Tracy was born with a multitude of artistic talents which ran from art to music (she plays several instruments) and developed a love for baking at a very young age. She finds that cake decorating satisfies her artistic mission in life and she really enjoys fulfilling the needs for her customers. She truly makes the adage “If you can dream it, I can bake it” come true. Susan Worthington Business Manager, Cake Designer and Co-Owner Torte Bella So, when Tracy met Susan Worthington, they started to talk and realized that they had a common bond and a love of baking. Susan is a registered nurse and a business woman who was ready to take on a new challenge. Soon their love for baking took on a new meaning and Torte Bella was born. |
