Describe your DJ style:
Flexible. Every wedding is unique. My style depends on how much you would prefer for me to interact with your guests. I can be high energy and get everyone involved or be low key by playing your favorite background easy listening music. Either way, it's all about what you desire.
What is your usual attire?
Polished shoes, dress slacks, dress shirt and sports coat.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
If a song is that important I ask that it is provided, even though I'll have a copy on hand.
How many other DJs do you work with?
When I'm booked I have three other DJ's that I can refer.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
I Don't have a minimum or maximum.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Absolutely. However in this busy day and age most correspondence is handled via email.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
All races, color or creed.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes! I have Professional Dual Pioneer CD Players, Four Channel Mixer, Peavey Amp (425 watts RMS per side), Yamaha Speahers and 2 cordless microphones.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Lighting when required or requested.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
I can set up in less than an hour. A table looks better and more formal.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
None
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Besides being your DJ I will also MC your wedding. I limit the talking between songs. Usually that's a sign that the DJ doesn't know how to mix.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
That would be nice.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
It's usually the other way around. I play when the live entertainment takes a break.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes! Only if an emergency situation arises.
What is your overtime rate?
$75.00 per 1/2 hour.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
That depends. If I'm going to DJ a wedding more than an hour away and the price of gas is out of site.
