Most likely your event/wedding planner is a creative person and can help you save a lot of money by assisting you with do-it-yourself projects.  Take for instance the invitations, programs, placement cards, menus, etc.  These items are not hard to make.  Your wedding planner could probably do them for you at a lesser cost than what the retailers charge.   Another way a creative wedding planner can help you save money is with flowers and decorations.  Most wedding planners really love the decorative side of weddings and probably have a sense of design, so ask your planner if he or she offers a floral arrangement and/or decorative package.  I’m positive you will pay less for this package than what you would pay a professional florist.
