Hi,

My name is Timothy O'Connell and as an ordained Catholic priest, I have been an Officiant for the celebration of Marriage Vows since 1966.  I am currently licensed to celebrate marriages in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. (and by reciprocity in states such as Vermont, Connecticut, California, Hawaii, New Jersey and New York).  With the understanding that all of the true religions are equal in the sight of God and that this Humanity is one body and one Spirit, I have officiated at weddings of almost every religious and ethnic stripe and at weddings of athiests, gnostics and agnostics.  My focus is to invite you to speak your Vows from the depth of your Humanity, may they be in the presence of the One as you know and believe in the One; or not.

With materials I send home with you, I can assist you in constructing a ceremony that reflects your values and respects your families' values.  And I will recommend that whatever Vows you choose to speak that you frame them beautifully on the wall of your home so that they are present to your marriage every day.  YOUR SACRED/SOLEMN VOWS ARE YOUR CORNERSTONE.

My Life's education includes degrees in Philosophy and Classical languages, and advanced degrees in Theology and Psychology.  My passions and skills include 'dadding' three children to their maturity in Happiness and in service to this Humanity.  Too, as a Proficiant in Philosophy, I have spent my last fourty years building a school of Wisdom akin to Plato's Academy.  

I have met with and walked with Doctor King, written nationally regarding the radical equality of women and the need for women Catholic priests, been imprisioned for matters of war and conscience and stood toe to toe with the Pope asking publically that the issue of birth control be left to the informed consciences of each couple.
