About Us

The Outer Banks is one of the most popular coastal wedding destinations in the country, and the Outer Banks Wedding Association is the premiere service organization for wedding professionals located in Currituck, Dare, and Hyde counties. We are over 200 members strong, and are governed by a nine-member Board of Directors.

The Outer Banks Wedding Association is a non-profit trade marketing organization representing the Outer Banks wedding industry. While we require our members in good standing to adhere to a Code of Professional Ethics, the organization's Board of Directors do not recommend or refer to any single member, nor do we mediate disputes between members or their customers.

Wedding Weekend - January 9th & 10th!

The Outer Banks continues to grow as one of America's top wedding destinations, and so does our show! Our 12th annual Expo will showcase over 130 vendors and let you meet, select, and work with an amazing group of professionals dedicated to making your wedding a beautiful experience for you and all your guests.

Starting Friday, our welcome centers will be open for your check-in, where you'll receive your packets including maps and info for Saturday's Wedding Tour. You can start that night by taking advantage of the great special offers our members have for you, discounts on dining and lodging so you can preview locations for rehearsal dinners, guests accommodations, catering menus, and more! Saturday morning start your tour of our outstanding venues from luxurious oceanfront event homes to historic sites, then break for lunch and sample something from one (or more) of our incredible restaurants and caterers. Along the way you'll have a chance to visit with many of our members who open their doors and welcome you into their business for the day.

That evening the party gets going at The Pointe Golf Club where you'll find a reception in progress, our chance for you to hear some of our finest musicians and sample fabulous foods while you get to meet and ask questions of many of our members.

And while you are sleeping in on Sunday morning we'll be putting the final touches on our booths and displays. When you're at the Expo you'll see our fabulous fashion show and be able to register for our 'Wedding of your Dreams' drawing to be given away that very afternoon!
