replacement DJs in case you become unavailable on the wedding
day? Yes, professional backup always available. It has never happened since I began my business.
Do you
specialize in any ethnic and/or international events? No, but able to accommodate almost any request. Recently did Bosnian, Greek, Egyptian, Polish and Red Neck Weddings
Is the bride
able to meet the DJ before booking? Absolutely, in fact, I normally schedule from 3 to 5 meetings prior to every event. It is imperative in order to be able to provide outstanding and memorable service!
If you do not
have one of the songs pre-requested by the couple, do you
require that they provide it? No, I will purchase ANY necessary music to accommodate my clients.
What is your
usual attire? Tuxedo in complementary colors for the bridal party.
Do you bring
your own equipment? All equipment is provided, with 100% backup of all critical gear. I bring at least 3 sets of speakers, backup amplifiers, microphones, backup computer and backup music library drive.
Do you offer
special equipment into your service? Special equipment is always available.
What is your
minimum amount of time you will DJ for? My services are based on a flat rate for the day for wedding receptions. All other events are a two hour minimum. Typical wedding reception requires 20 to 30 hours of prep and performance time.
Do you usually
emcee the reception and/or talk between songs? All Master of Ceremonies duties are included. Minimum talk between songs except to make announcements and comply with the Bride and Grooms wishes.
Do you take any
breaks? Only necessary bathroom requirements, and you wont even know I am gone.
Will you
arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks? Of course!
Do you require
a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party
provide your meal? I do not eat or drink during performances, except for bottled water.
How much time
do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site
and/or couple provide a table for you to setup on? I typically arrive 4 hours prior to performance time with a target goal of being completely set up and sound checks completed 2 hours before the arrival of the first guest. I require NOTHING from the venue, but the available space and proper power within 25 feet.
Do you have any
extra space requirements? Only if special lighting or extended speaker installation required.
What is your
overtime rate? My services are a flat rate until Midnight of the service day, then $175 per hour after midnight.

Additional Questions and Answers
Martha Stewart Says:
“While you’re working out the details of your reception, you’ll need to think about the other aspects of your wedding as well. In general, you can expect to spend about 10 percent of your budget on each of the other major categories -- attire, flowers, music, photography, and miscellaneous costs, such as invitations, favors, transportation, and any unexpected expenses that might arise. Adjust these percentages as you go; when you spend more on certain items, make up the difference by spending less somewhere else.”
“Nothing stirs the heart like music. Shakespeare wrote, "If music be the food of love, play on," and nowhere is that sentiment better realized than at a wedding. From the moment the first guest takes her seat until the last person leaves the dance floor, music fills the day. When chosen thoughtfully, it can set the rhythm for the event, enhancing emotion during the ceremony and inspiring jubilant celebration at the reception.”
“Even the most versatile and talented band on earth could never provide the range of songs and performers that a disc jockey can.”
