Carradoc Hall, an 18th century mansion which dates back to the 1700's when, according to the legend Captain Willoughby Newton purchased the tract of land on which the mansion was later built. Upon the dealth of Captian Newton in 1767, the land remanined in his family and Carradoc Hall was built in the early 1800's. The land and mansion were both passed down through the generations remaining in the family all the way up until 1978, when the property became legally protected by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
