About
The Flower Garden is a full serviced flower business that has been designing flowers specifically for weddings, special events, corporate functions, private country clubs, etc for the past ten years.  Prior to the Flower Garden Henry managed a retail flower business for 6 years on Hilton Head.  We do not offer the typical floral packages like so many other florists do.  All the flowers we design are designed specifically for each bride, coorporate executive, etc.  We have designed flowers for weddings as large as 600 guests and as little as 6. The same attention to detail is given to every function we design flowers for.  On average we design flowers for  100 weddings a year plus a huge amount of coorporate events and private functions.

We deal with flower brokers as well as flower growers in Holland, California, South America and every other country where flowers are grown.

Part of our service is to provide you with a detailed proposal/estimate for every item we will be providing for you.  Whether it is a wedding, special event, party etc. the day of the special day you know exactly what to expect, right down to the exact flowers, colors, style, container, etc.  If you book a wedding with us we make sure to coordinate the wedding day flower delivery with you as well as with the church, country club, hotel etc.  We never leave a reception site until the table decorations etc. are in place.

Tips and Advice
If  you are planning an outside wedding make sure any  flowers, plants, arch, etc. can be moved to your back up location. Don’t waste money on decorating a beautiful gazebo on the beach or courtyard if it can not be moved.  Floral arrangements on pedestals or large blooming plants can easily be moved anywhere with ease.

If your wedding ceremony will be outside think twice about using tall floral arrangements on the reception tables, no matter how heavy they are. The slighest wind will determine if they blow over.

Be receptive to using a backup flower selection just in case the specific flower you want to use may not be available.  Some flowers growing season may vary by a few weeks one year and not the next due to weather.  For example if you want to use Peonies and there is a chance they may not be available you might be able to use a garden rose like Piaget  that opens similar to a Peony  and has a fragrance 100% better.  Peony tulips are also a nice substitution.  For me I always go for the 1st choice but it is less better if you have a back up from the beginning and I can tell you right from the start if your selections may or may not be available.

Also mention to the florist if you have  specific budget you are trying to work with.  For a florist it makes things a lot easier to know this so they can taylor your flowers around it.  Remember you can have a beautiful wedding and not break the bank.  For example insted of using mini calla lilies and cymbidium orchids use roses and dendrobium orchids.  The cost will be less but flowers will still be beautiful.
