What is your band's usual attire?
Suits for weddings and appropriate attire for other types of events. Our clients can request attire and it can be listed into the contract in advance.
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
Yes, either by dvd, cd or live performance showcases in the NYC area.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Yes, we have and will learn up to 3 song selections for clients who request it. We also can play special requests over our PA system during our breaks via cd's.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
Depending on the venue,(Parking,stairs etc) 2 hours is usually sufficient.
How much space do you usually require?
We usually require an area of 10x20 feet but can work with less space if needed.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
The Classix are self contained and arrive at least 2 hours prior to the event to set-up the PA system, instrumentation and basic lighting.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
Yes, if it is requested in advance. The Classix are known for their talent of reading the crowd and choosing songs and/or comments accordingly.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We require a meal break at most events but provided meals are optional. If a meal was not provided, the Classix would need to leave the premises briefly to get a meal at outside vendors.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes. We also are glad to play requested songs or cd's.
What is your overtime rate?
Overtime rates are $175.00 per hour.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Travel expenses are built in to our fee and is stated clearly on the contract.
