Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an appointment to view the property and venue spaces?
For a guided tour of the Inn, a scheduled appointment is required. One of our knowledgeable event professionals will be happy to show you all of our unique venue spaces and sleeping accommodations. To schedule a guided tour, please contact our Wedding Sales Director by registering on the Wedding page of our website: www.lakelure.com 

We also want to host a Bridal Brunch / Rehearsal Dinner / Post-Wedding Brunch. Can we book these at the Inn?
We have specialty menus created just for these occasions! These menu options can be viewed once you have registered on the Weddings page of our website: www.lakelure.com
 
What types of venue spaces do you offer? Do you have a rain contingency location?
We have multiple venues and are able to host multiple occasions simultaneously. The Inn offers indoor and outdoor locations for your Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony and Reception. Roosevelt Hall and the Powers Room make great rain backups - be sure to reserve one for your Ceremony rain contingency!

How long do we have the reception venue?
Morning events are reserved from 10:00am until 2:00pm and evening events are booked from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. Extended venue space rental times are available
upon request.

What is included with our venue space rental?
The cost for your venue space includes a variety of tables, chairs, white linens and
place settings.

Is the cost for children the same as adults?
Children ages six to twelve years old are half of the price that is charged for adults, minus the pricing for alcohol. Any children under five years old eat for free.

How do I reserve a date?
Register on the Wedding page of our website at www.lakelure.com to contact our Wedding Sales Director. We will create a contract for you based upon your personalized needs.

What types of payments do you take?
We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, traveler’s checks, and cash.

Do you have an on-site Wedding Planner? Can we hire a Wedding Planner?
Our Events Managers here at The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa are here to assist you with arrangements pertaining to services and product(s) provided by the Inn. We strongly recommend hiring a Wedding Planner for your Ceremony and Reception. Wedding Planners will help to make your Ceremony and Reception run smoothly and alleviate responsibilities on your special day. What is the schedule of payments?
We require two scheduled payments: an advanced deposit and an estimated payment. Once you have signed a contract, the advanced deposit will be due. This initial deposit covers the cost of the facility fees. The final estimated payment is due 15 days prior to your event date. Any other additional deposits that you would like to make can be made any time prior to the date of your event.

We would like a destination wedding.  Are you able to accommodate our needs from another state?
The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa is a destination location and we cater to couples throughout the United States. Whatever your needs may be, we can meet them, or will assist you in finding a vendor that best fits fit your style and budget. Our Sales and Event Managers can communicate by phone, fax, email, and mail to ensure that every detail is addressed.

We are interested in several specialty items such as our flowers and cake.  Do you have trusted vendors?
You can use any of the vendors on our preferred list, or you can provide your own. However, our preferred vendors are those that we have worked with in the past, trust with our clients’ needs, and provide top rated services. Our Preferred Vendor List can be provided upon request.
