Ptarmigan String Quartet

Ptarmigan String Quartet recently performed for a Wedding at the Lodge on June 27, 09. The scenery is exceptional and there are a nice variety of locations for ceremonies including an outdoor pergola and a very large covered deck. The venue has it's own sound system which helps the guests be able to hear the ceremony and the music. We also played for the couple's cocktail hour on the deck. Since there was not a bar set up on the deck, most of the guests stayed inside the dining room even though the couple had wanted guests to enjoy cocktails on the deck and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. It would be great if the lodge could figure out a way to avoid having people go through the dining room to get to the deck when cocktail hours are scheduled for the deck. The staff, especially the owners, are experienced and dedicated to having everything turn out perfectly for the couple getting married. Our manager attended the wedding rehearsal the previous day and the staff made sure I was aware of all the options and that all my questions were answered. This was very nice and much appreciated.

Taharaa Mountain Lodge is a very echanting place. The myriad of scenic views and mountainous terrain only tips the surface of the ambience one may experience. As a musician who played weddings at the lodge, it should enhance any wedding experience for all parties exponentially. The staff will make everything right to make it a perfect occasion.
