Describe your DJ style:
Fun, entertaining and as interactive as you want it. After all, it's your event. It should be the way you want it.
What is your usual attire?
A Tuxedo for formal events unless told otherwise
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
I will make every effort to legally obtain any song requested by you. In the case I can not, I will ask if you have a copy of it.
How many other DJs do you work with?
I'm a "single op", meaning a work by myself. How ever, I am a member of The American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA) and the local chapter where I network with several DJs in the Washington DC area. I also belong to several online DJ forums where we all post and share ideas and have discussions.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Most Wedding Events run at least 4 hours, but I will work few hours if need be.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Most definitely!! In fact, I insist on it. How better to get to know each other and how you want you special day to be?
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
No
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. I bring my own equipment along with back up equipment and music to every event. In case of downtime incurred by equipment problems, I will gladly play over the scheduled end time to make up the lost time.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Yes. I can provide uplighting, "intelligent" lighting, photo montages, bubbles, live camera and ambient videos.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
My set up is self contained, meaning I don't need any special considerations for set up. I like to be set up and ready to go at least one hour prior to your event starting.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
Only if extra equipment is needed, such as special lighting, video screen, etc.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I emcee the reception but don't normally talk between songs except for the Special Dances or other special events of the day.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
If I ever took a break, yes.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Again, as part of the Washington DC Chapter of the ADJA. we each have many other partners that may be able to help each other out in case of emergencies with people or equipment.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
No. They are included in the fee.
