Yes
Describe your DJ style:
We like to take a laid back approach with some interaction with your guests. We like to be involved with them in each moment and event but do not try or want to take over the show. Our goal is to redirecting the attention on you two and your union as husband and wife.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
No, we want to know your personality and the music you like. Music is a huge part of a lot of people's lives so to limit it takes away from who they are. We want to know what you like and we try to incorporate it into the wedding while keeping your guests entertained.
What is your usual attire?
Brandon is usually in a French Collard shirt with black slacks and a vest. Kami is in business attire such as slacks and a dressy top. She strives to use dark colors so she doesn't draw attention to herself. We can accommodate your wedding needs too if you have a theme so we are not over or under dressed.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
If we cannot find it (which has never happened), you are welcome to provide it.
How many other DJs do you work with?
Only Brandon and Kami do weddings.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Depends on event and needs. Most weddings are from 4 - 8 hours.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
YES! We recommend it! I would meet your DJ and do planning sessions with them. We want you to feel comfortable with us and we want to understand your vision and feel for your wedding day so we can do all we can to help make it come true.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We do not specialize in any one area per say but always look to further our knowledge and learn new traditions. We have incorporated lots of traditions in weddings depending on needs but always enjoy a challenge of something new.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Yes, you have a vision for your wedding and if some songs won't fit for what you want then we want to know. We go over all this during our planning sessions. Sometimes we may need to limit the lists but usually they are not too long or unreasonable.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Of course, we recommend it. We invest a lot in our equipment and maintain them. We want to be sure everything will be flawless.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We offer a wide array of services. On of our more popular services we offer in uplighting. Uplighting and ambience lighting is the art of painting with light to create a truly magical background for the most beautiful and well planned day of your lives. Using lighting to bring out the colors of your wedding, your bridesmaids dresses, your flowers and the aspects of the room help create a truly unique and exceptional wedding experience.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
We bring all our own tables and equipment. We like at least one hour but depending on what needs to be set up (i.e. lighting, additional systems, etc.) we may need more.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No we work with what we got.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
NO
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We do emcee the event to keep your guests informed, we want them to feel apart of your wedding not just at it.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
Really depends on the crowd. If they like interaction or not and what the bride and groom want. We have multiple ways we could get them motivated.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We do not require any breaks or food service. We don't take breaks. If one needs to do something we have the other to take over.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
N/A
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We are apart of a lot of associations and have lots of friends with DJ's. If we were unavailable we would have someone with the same if not more experience take our place. We would be sure to come to a good resolution accepted by our clients. We have NEVER missed a event though. :)
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
Not typically.
What is your overtime rate?
Same as when you book.. $200.00/hour.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Depends on where it ranges.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
Typically $400.00 but can be customized.
