Yes
Are you a commercial studio or a home-based business?
We are a full-time boutique-style studio, working very closely with a small number of clients per year.
Do you offer demo DVDs for potential clients to look at?
Our web site contains a few samples, but during a consultations we have load more to show! Demo DVDs are not available at this time.
Do you have lighting equipment to accommodate a more dimly-lit event?
We never use additional lighting during the ceremony and encourage couples to use a well-lit ceremony venue. For the reception, we will use off camera lighting (never on camera at eve level) when absolutely necessary.
How many videographers do you work with?
Our base package includes one highly experienced cinematographer and one assistant. An additional professional cinematographer may also be added to enhance coverage.
Does the client get to meet the videographers before the event?
Yes, Nick Weeks personally meets each couple prior to shooting your wedding. We work very closely with you to build a film based around your personality.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, aside from extreme illness or death, Nick Weeks will attend your event personally. In the event where attendance cannot be made, a highly experienced professional will be present.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We only book one couple per-day. You book a date with us, it's "your" day. Weekend weddings are popular, but we are also available for weekday weddings.
Do you have a replacement videographer in case you become unavailable on the event day?
If an unforeseen event occurs and Nick Weeks is unavailable, we will work very closely with another professional cinematographer as a replacement. We assure the replacement will have all the information necessary to take place of Nick Weeks.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We bring all equipment necessary to make a stunning film. Each wedding is as unique as the couple themselves, so the equipment we bring depends on what we have created for you.
Do you bring backup equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Always. In the event of an equipment failure, we will always have a backup with us to capture your day.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We normally grab a bite to eat at the reception as time allows. We never skip out important events to eat or ask the bride & groom to provide a meal at their expense, if possible we try and eat after the guests have been served.
Do you charge overtime?
Overtime charges are negotiated at the day of your wedding, but since we only book one event per day, overtime shooting is available. Overtime that is planned ahead is charged at a lower rate.
Do you give access to your raw footage?
Original unedited footage is available at booking if requested. Please call or email to setup a consultation so we can discuss.
Do you reserve the right to use the video in the future for deals, contents, etc.?
Yes, any video captured may be uses as promotional materials.
Is the client involved in the editing process? If so, how much input does the client have in editing?
All special editing requests need to be made before the wedding. We do charge a per-hour re-edit fee if the bride/groom wants anything changed after we have delivered the final product.
The exception to this rule is the purchase of the "In-home Preview" where you will have the ability to make changes to the final edit before your film is finalized.
How long does it take for the client to get the final video?
This depends on the options chosen and our workload at the time but generally your video is delivered in less than 6 months. We go over all delivery estimations at consultation.
Do you require a minimum number of hours to book?
Our film packages have minimum requirements, but ceremony only coverage is also available on select dates.
