Are there any special characteristics about this venue such as scenery or architecture?
The Simpson House is a three-story mansion rich with decorative detail including original crystal chandeliers, Tiffany- stained glass, ornate hand-carved woodwork, two fireplaces of italian marble and granite, and gorgeous hardwood floors throughout the house. The covered porch over looks the spacious south lawn area which is beautifully landscaped and is frequently the site of garden weddings and other outdoor gatherings. Massive oak and dog wood trees add to the idyllic setting of the Simpson House grounds.
How does your venue determine the cost of the space?
We have a flat fee, based on the day of the week you would like to book.
Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners?
Our Friday fees are discounted from our Saturday event fee.
Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?
White wood chairs, podium, unity candle tables
Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?
We have tables, chairs, linens, PA...all of our pricing is on the Policies section on our website
Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?
You can use any caterer that you would like.
Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?
We have a bridal dressing room located on the second floor.
Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired?
Yes. Our only stipulations on alcohol are: No cash bars, no kegs of beer.
How many power outlets does the venue have?
Too many to count!
What restrictions (if any) on decorations?
Nothing sharp or sticky. No glitter or confetti, no nails tacks, pins, staples, tape, glue on or in the building. Floating candles only. Florist wire and pipe cleaners to attach things are fine. Candles of any kind, luminaries, etc outside are fine.

We allow music outside the building for the ceremony only. Music for the reception must be inside the building.
Does your venue often accommodate more than one event at a time?
No.

Yes. One on the main floor, two in the basement level; total of five stalls.
Describe your parking facilities:
62 place lot with parking on the street. The Marriott (across the street) also has a lot for guests.
