Tips and Advice

Plan to settle your music choices early, especially if you have a special song for your wedding. Music can take 3 weeks or more to come in the mail, and musicians like a couple of weeks to practice music before they share it with you and your guests in the ceremony. This means that you should choose your musicians by 2 months before your wedding date to allow yourself 2 weeks to choose ceremony music. Of course, wedding music can be assembled in less time, but it limits your choices to the music that you and your musicians already own.

Even if you've already chosen most of your wedding music, ask the musicians you choose for any recommendations they might have. You might discover they know about something you'd like even better, and you can always stick with your original selections.
