Tips and Advice
Bridal shows are investments with potential serious returns. They remain the only place where the public can compare and ask questions that are displayed side by side in one building. Bridal shows provide a lot of new prospects in a short time. Imagine how many potential new clients you could meet in one day. Exhibiting allows your prospects and customers to immediately comparison shop. If you really have something of value, they'll know it right away. ADVANTAGES 1. Face-to-face contact with your prospects. The wedding business is built around your personal touch. Brides buy from people they like and trust. Bridal shows provide you with a forum to interact personally with these prospects. 2. Quality leads. The majority of attendees at our shows are there because they have a need for your services. This is target marketing at its best! 3. Immediate appointments. Many brides book appointments on the spot, or shortly after our shows. 4. Good response rate. Our shows produce high appointment response rates when compared to direct mailings or even wedding magazines. SUGGESTIONS 1. Hand out professional literature. A professional brochure gets read, saved, and even kept in a purse. Vendors distributing warm and informative brochures get more phone calls after our shows than vendors who hand out home-made literature. 2. Use professional racks and displays in your booths. Utilize all senses of sight, smell, touch, hear, smell and even taste. Let the bride see your professional signage. Let her feel the quality of your brochures. Let her hear any wedding background music you may have. Let the bride and her guests smell any welcoming fragrances in your area. You can even provide candy favors and chocolate to keep brides talking with you. 3. Build a mailing list of attendees right at the show and follow up quickly. Although we provide you after a week with the additional walk-ins that may attend last-minute, you can begin working on the brides that can register for a drawing at your booth that day. 4. Send out an advance mailing that you will be exhibiting at our show. For starters, you can alert your current prospects to see you among other professionals and comparison shop. Whether they are already your customer or one you would like to have as a customer, you have the opportunity to communicate with them in a non-pressured environment. In summary, bridal shows are great relationship-builders with customers. Booking just one wedding will more than likely pay for the booth space and then some. Many brides who register with us live outside the Hampton Roads area but are planning their weddings here. Most of them are unfamiliar with area venues and wedding businesses. Our show is your only chance to market directly to these brides. This show’s summer date gives you an opportunity to make early connections with the many brides who are already making plans for their spring and summer weddings.
