Meet the dynamic duo behind Sensibly Sweet:

The onset of Sensibly Sweet began with the formation of a mother-daughter innovative team. The daughter, Jenna, a culinary school graduate who specializes in baking, decided to combine forces with her mother, Carmen, an artist and owner of Party Etc., a party decorating business established in 1996. Together they created Sensibly Sweet, a custom cookie company that centers around families and their special events.

Carmen, who has a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of New York, and interior decorating from the New York School of Interior Design has always had a passion for party decorating. Whether it was a small gathering with friends or her daughter’s Quinceañera, she has always paid attention to detail. Her focus, the décor of the room, from balloons, to tulle, to twinkling white lights, no stone ever goes unturned.

The idea of the cookies started with Jenna’s colleague and friend Josh Lynn (www.joshlynn.com) who approached her about making “Thank You” boxes for his brides. That idea was the beginning of a new direction to the Sensibly Sweet portfolio. Thank you, Josh!

Jenna, who has her BPS in Culinary Arts, has always had a passion for baking. Growing up with a very artistic, creative mother, it was inevitable that she would decide to join forces with her. Together they not only create fabulous cookies and have fun decorating beautiful banquet halls but they also share their very special mother-daughter bond.

Cookie Favor FAQ's

Can you personalize your cookie favors?

Because we believe each cookie should have a special added touch, we would like to make our cookies as personalized as possible! As long there is room available on the cookie, we are happy to do it! There is an additional $.25 per cookie for personalization. Our favors are custom made, individually wrapped in a clear cello bag and tied with a ribbon.

We custom design our cookies and not all appear in our website, if you have something in mind please let us know and we will be more than happy to see how we can accommodate you on your special day! (973) 601-3063

Tags:

A tag can be added to the cookie and tied with the ribbon that displays the name, event, and date for an additional fee. Please call for pricing.

Ribbons with information:

We can substitute our ribbons with one that has the name, event and/or date for an additional fee. Please call for pricing. You also have the option to provide us with your own ribbon as long as they meet our measurements. Call us for details.

Do you provide samples?

Samples can be provided for the same price as the favor plus shipping charges. We will, however, be happy to refund this amount once we receive your signed contract and deposit.

What is the Minimum Order?

For favors, our minimum order is 12 cookies.

How much notice is required?

Orders of 12 – 100 cookies lead time is one to two weeks.

150 – 500 cookies lead time is two to three weeks.
However, don't hesitate to contact us even if your request is not within the time frame, as we will do our best to try and accommodate you.

(During the months of November and December cookie favor lead times vary, please call for info.)

*Longer lead time is required for orders that require tags or personalized ribbons.*

We would appreciate a longer lead time for weddings and larger events. These events require more personalization. One year advance notice is customary with a final count two weeks prior to event when balance payment is due.

Cookie Favor Cancellation Policy:

A 50% deposit is due at time of order placement. Balance is due in full two weeks prior to event date. Delivery orders can be paid on day of delivery. If a delivery order is denied, the client is responsible for the remaining balance. Sensibly Sweet will make every attempt to contact the client in the event of a denied delivery.

In the event of cancellation:

1. All cancellations must be made in writing.

2. If a cancellation is received more than four weeks prior to the promised event/delivery date, the aforementioned deposit will be refunded less $100 administrative fee.

3. If a cancellation is received less than four weeks prior to the promised event/delivery date, the aforementioned deposit is forfeited.

Sensibly Sweet will not accept any cancellations left on voicemail. Thank you for understanding.

Can I mix cookie themes?

During times that we are not super busy, we would be happy to combine up to 4 cookie designs. During our busy season, please call us at (973) 601-3063 to see if and how we can accommodate your request.

Deliveries with Signatures:

UPS Ground does not require a signature. They can track a shipment and provide proof of delivery; therefore, Sensibly Sweet is not responsible for the delivered package. If you require this service however, you must place the order via telephone and request this service. Additional fees may apply.
