Frequently Asked Questions
How would you identify your photographic style?
Photojournalistic, traditional wedding with a fashion flair, classic yet stunning.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I love to use natural light. I enjoy painting with light and adding light where necessary.
Is your media preference film or digital?
These days it is all digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
When I travel I network with many other photographers. I traditionally have an assistant with me during weddings.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
I am the lead photographer at every one of my weddings.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?
Never more than one wedding in a day. I believe in giving 110% into my work and am truly exhausted after I photograph a wedding.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
I am a business professional and always have backup equipment, plans and photographer ready.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I have everything I would need to shoot a wedding in any condition, low light, rain, direct sun and everything in between.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I typically carry two cameras on me at all times. I also have a backup set ready to go. I am there to capture the special day and there is no time to stop for equipment problems.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I can do both. Typically my rates are based on what my client wants and I work within budgets to accommodate.
If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime?
I am not a clock watcher. You will not find me running out no matter what. Typically all of the ins & outs & details are all worked out ahead of time so on your wedding day there are no issues, just smooth sailing.
Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
I require a meal during my weddings, typically most brides see my work ethic and want me to rest a little. I eat quick and am backing up files while doing so. My rest break is really working for my clients.
How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?
None. I typically have all of the necessary equipment on my person and do not need to stop for a break. Ask my clients. I am considered the hardest working wedding photographer in the industry. Your wedding day is not about me, it is about you. My job is to capture your day with my camera.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is typically worked into the fee for the wedding. I travel a lot and work through this process with my clients.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
My goal is to have them up as soon as possible. I take thousands of images and quality is my goal. The last wedding I photographed I had images for viewing within 24 hours.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Initial proofs are typically in an online wedding album.
How long can the couple keep the proofs?
Many of my agreements the online proofs are available for viewing for one year.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I offer shared copyrights which allow my clients to print their own photographs should they wish.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
My copyrights are shared. I like every other photographer out there have the right to my photos. But I am someone who believes that weddings are a very personal thing and I am not someone who posts many photos online or on my website.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
Yes, many brides choose a package that includes digital files of their images.
Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes, online galleries are something that most of my clients choose. They are great items that allow couples to share their photos with family/friends/guests etc.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I have many different albums from high end leather bound with engraving to more budget friendly hardcover albums.
When will I get the final book?
Printing of books is determined by the type of book the client is looking for. Every album company has printing timelines and all of the timelines are shared with my clients.
How long does it take to deliver a book?
As soon as the book is printed, I then review it and ship it priority to my clients.
