We offer private tasting for each and every bride, but keep your eyes peeled for an OPEN TASTING that we are planning in the next few months!
What are your tasting hours?
By appointment. I set the majority of my appointments for Sunday afternoons because that seems to work really well for most brides and grooms. If that won't work for you...we'll find another time that's more accomodating!
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
By the slice.
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
Yes, but the anniversary tier is free
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
Both! I really enjoy designing cakes for brides who have found elements from several different cakes and want to incorporate all of them into one design, making her cake an ORIGINAL.
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
sweet cream butter, fresh fruit, brand name chocolates
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
I bake on Thursday and I decorate the cake the night before the wedding and add any finishing touches the day of. If you bake much sooner than that the cake will not be at its "freshest" for your guests.
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
Two is typically my maximum. I never want to sacrifice quality for quantity.
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
I sure will- I'll even contact them directly so the bride doesn't have to play the middle man.
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
Any accessories I have are free for the bride to use. I ask that all items be returned Tuesday after the wedding.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Yes. Delivery is free within 20 miles of our location. $2 per mile after 20 miles. No set up fees-If you buy a cake from me, the least I can do it put it together, right?
