Rouge did a fantastic job catering our September 2011 wedding. From the very beginning of our interactions with the company, they were clearly head and shoulders above the rest. They were the first to get back to us after our initial set of inquiries, and their event managers really took the time to listen to our vision of the food. We worked closely with Martha to develop the menu, and had an awesome tasting. After having doubts about one of the appetizers we had initially selected they whipped up a new app on the spot that ended up being one of our guest's favorites. We worked with Regina closer to the event, and she ensured that everything went smoothly during our reception, even though about half our guests arrived late. Her flexibility and oversight ensured that the food was hot, the beer was cold, and everyone ate, drank and was merry! Every single appetizer got rave reviews from our guests, and they totally mauled them---especially the Maryland lump crab cakes. They were just amazing.
We were super picky about wanting local and organic whenever possible without breaking the bank, and boy did they deliver! Pretty much every guest we spoke to throughout the night commented on how awesome the food was. Even our photographer complimented the food, and he goes to weddings almost every weekend of the summer!
We also really appreciated their straightforward pricing with no surprise service fees or unexpected costs. It seemed like every other caterer we spoke to had lots of mechanisms to ding you for extra time or had mysterious service fees that made it difficult to figure out how much you might spend at the end of the day.
We really loved working with Rouge and, as an earlier reviewer said so well, wish we could attend a Rouge wedding just to savor the amazing food.
