About

I believe that the uniting of two people in Holy Matrimony is one of the most joyous duties of a minister.  I always feel priviledged to be a part of the ceremony and find weddings to be a blessed event for all parties that are involved.  I do not require extensive premarital counseling or premarital classes but I will meet with you before the wedding to go over the details and discuss any concerns you and/or your fiance might have.
I have many lovely ceremonies and vows that you can choose from to personalize your wedding.  If you wish to write your own vows, that's not a problem but I will need a copy of them about a week before the wedding in order to familiarize myself with them, so that the ceremony goes smoothly.
I will perform weddings on-site at the location of your choosing and I have no objection to performing a wedding where alcohol is being served as I believe in moderation in all things.
I will perform marriage ceremonies in any state and at any time.  I perform interfaith marriages as I believe there is one God and love transcends all religious barriers.  I do not require lengthy pre-marital counseling or classes and I have no objection to remarriage as it is the triumph of love and hope over previous experience.  You are welcome to write your own vows for the ceremony or use one of mine.  All faiths are welcome.  I will also perform a commitment ceremony for same-sex couples as I believe that God is love for everyone and I am not here on this mortal coil to pass judgement on anyone.  We are all God's children.
I perform weddings at any venue on any day that you like.  I do have emergency service available if your original officiant becomes suddenly unavailable.  I am in the St Louis metro area and you can call me at any time.

Additional Questions and Answers

What is your fee for performing a wedding ceremony?
My normal fee is $150 for performing a wedding.  This includes the pre-marital meeting, travel time, officiating the ceremony and completing and submitting the paperwork as required by law.  If there is a rehearsal, I charge an additional fee of $50 for time and travel to the rehearsal.

When to you arrive at the ceremony?
I usually arrive about 30 minutes before the ceremony is scheduled to begin.  This gives me time to get the paperwork in order and signed by the bride, groom and witnesses.  Once the papers are signed and certified, I perform the chosen ceremony.

Are you available for pictures with the couple after the ceremony?
I will be happy to pose for photos with the couple if they  wish to have me in a photo.

Do you object to alcohol being served at the site of the wedding?
If it's a destination wedding (not in church) I have no problem with alcohol being served for guests to consume in moderation.

Tips and Advice

Book EARLY as there are always more weddings than clergy so as soon as you choose a date you need to let me know.  I don't require premarital counseling or classes but it's always a good idea to give as much notice as possible to your wedding officiant.

If you are writing your own vows, it's a good idea to get a copy to me at least a week (and preferably longer) so that I have time to look them over before the ceremony and practice them before the wedding so that it will be a smooth ceremony.

If you want me to come to the rehearsal dinner, again, I will need to know as soon as you know the date as the demands on my time are many and I don't want to disappoint you by not being able to attend!
