Janet Caraker, owner of A Private Escape, has been a successful travel counselor since 1987 with extensive corporate and leisure travel experience. Janet’s travel career began in 1987 as a corporate agent. In 2002, Mrs. Caraker founded Island Jack's Travel in Greenville, North Carolina. After 5 successful years, Janet accepted an opportunity to expand in Belleville, Illinois and opened A Private Escape in 2007. A Private Escape and Island Jack's Travel are independent agencies and therefore, not limited to only a few travel vendors. More choice means better prices and availability for our clients.
