How would you identify your photographic style?
We are freestyle photographers - meaning we shoot PJ when the image requires PJ, we shoot artistic and we shoot traditional when the situation calls for traditional formal shots. We get the *best* shots we can all day regardless of what you name the style.
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We offer artistic effects, black and white, sepia toned images, custom retouching, and a lot of other special touches.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
If you've shot a wedding ever, you've dealt with many tough lighting situations. We've covered candlelight ceremonies, cave-dark receptions and bright daylight (more of a challenge for most photographers than churches).
Is your media preference film or digital?
We are all digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
There are two primary photographers at Picture Infinity. We also use several associates.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Not if I die. Things happen - we want clients to understand that we're real people too. That being said, we've never missed a wedding.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?
Not for a day. Definitely for a weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
Yes. LOTS of us in the area are networked, plus we have associates. We have the day covered for sure.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
lol Tons. Let's just say we have backups and backups and ...
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
You mean I should? ;)
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Depends on what the client wants. Sometimes a little of both.
If hourly, are you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you charge for overtime?
Depends.
Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
Yes we require a meal break on all wedding events over 5 hours long. We'd rather not pass out during your cake cutting.
How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?
As few as possible, as many as we need. It's common sense..
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, outside of 90 miles. No, inside of that.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Depends how many we shot. Under 300, inside a week. 300-600, inside 2 weeks. 600+ could really depend.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We have a lot of options for our clients to choose from - why should we pick what our clients get?
How long can the couple keep the proofs?
Forevermore. We don't really "proof" - we provide prints and online ordering. Prints are forever, online ordering is for one year.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
Yes they are available.
Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes
What kind of albums do you offer?
Renaissance, Infinity, Amore and others. We have traditional matted albums and digital art albums. The best albums available - we offer them.
When will I get the final book?
Depends on you.
How long does it take to deliver a book?
Depends on you.
I apologize if my sense of humor doesn't translate well to their questions asked above, but honestly if you are worried about some of those things, we're not the photographer for you. We are pros, we know how to do our job and do it well. If you trust that, see the images you like on our site, etc. then let's talk! If you really want to know if I require food on your 12 hour wedding, I'm sorry but yes.
