We are a Funky, Fun and Jazzy 7-piece band playing only the best in dance, dinner,
cocktail hour and ceremony music. Our members are amoung Boston's
most sort after vocalists and musician. With offerings of fine classical ceremony,
Jazz cocktail hour, Swing and Easy-listening dinner and all the best dance
music. Our outstanding performaces in venues great and small for fine, funky,
and fun events have exceeded all our clients expectations and brought us success.
In short, any thing we can do to help make your wedding, anniversary or other
event perfect for you will be our pleasure. We work closely with you to nail down
details and go to any length to meet and exceed your expectations.
Phresh Act makes it easy for you to hire a Great Band. We customize our song
lists and performance to your specific needs and requirements. With many live
music packages for you to choose from, your are sure to find one that is perfect
for you.
Our Live Music Offerings:

We also provide MC service for announcements, introductions, etc, use of a
wireless microphone for speeches, playing custom mixes of recorded music
- anything you can think of, we have it covered!

How many band members do you regularly have? Phresh Act often plays as a 7-piece band but both larger and smaller ensembles are available. Our ceremony music is typically a duet but a trio or larger is also an option as is a vocalist.
What is your band's usual attire? Our usual attire is black and white Suites for the men and a gown for our woman vocalist(s). Tuxedos or any other attire could be worn at your request.
Do you offer live sample performances? We will gladly have you come by on rehearsal night and give you a good sampling of how we play and I encourage our potential clients to do so.
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know? Most Phresh Act packages includes learning up to three songs for special dances (first, bride & her farther and groom & his mother). We will also make an effort to learn one other song that you must hear on your wedding day. Anything we can do to make your wedding day perfect will be our pleasure
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? All reasonable requests will be honored and additional fees, if any, will be discussed and in the contract.
Do you usually emcee the reception and/or talk between songs? We will gladly provide whatever MC services you require. We do not talk between tunes normally but rather flow from one song to the next keeping track of time for any upcoming announcements we need to make.
Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal? Most of our clients provide us with the same meals being served to their guests and we do require a 1/2 hour meal break. We provide recorded music during these breaks and if you wish, the music could be a mix of your own making.
Do you play recorded music during your breaks? We do provide nice mixes of recorded music during our break(s) and if we will gladly put a custom mix togeter for you or you could provide it to us to play.
How much time do you usually need for setup? Typically it takes 2 hours to load in, set up but it could be faster if need be. We use state of the art equipment which allow us to pink noise the room to optimize our sound system and speakers for whatever environment we perform in.
How much space do you usually require? A space of 15' wide X 10' deep at one end of the dance floor is best but
we can work in larger and smaller areas.
What is your overtime rate? Our overtime rate for a 7-piece band is $350/hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? If the mileage is excessive we do charge or we can work it into the contract price, which ever you prefer. In any case it will be discussed in advance and noted in the contract.

Congratulations on your engagement!
Here are a few tips for planning your weddding.
1.) Find and book a venue you like with a date that works best for the two of you and your families.
2.) Find a fun band that is versital and a full service wedding music provider (like Phresh Act) that is available and for your big day.
3.) Find a caterer if not handled by the venue you booked.
All of your other vendors should also be booked as far in advance as possible, but the first three
are most time sensitive and most expensive.
I've been around this industry for a few years, and if there is anything I can do to help make your day perfect,
