We're Kat and Justin, the two brains behind Persimmon Images. We're best friends, hiking partners, and aspiring world-travelers. He's a whiz in the kitchen, a rock climber, and an Xbox/MMO/dice-and-stuff gamer. She's a dreamer, a tomboy, a computer geek, and a Wedding Bee blogger. We're newlyweds and, oh yeah, we work together doing this awesome photography thing.

For Kat, the magic of photography is in capturing the essence of one fleeting instant. For Justin, it's in seeing things from a new perspective. To us, weddings are about the birth of a new family and regardless of orientation, age, or ethnicity, our goal is to document the awesome momentousness of this great event in living color.

We love little details, candid emotions, and fun portraits. Our favorite thing is that nostalgic feeling of “oh wow, I was really there just now” that you get by looking at a really great photograph. We think it's wonderful that by catching the right light and pushing a little button, we can make an image that lasts forever. So that's what we strive to give you: beautiful, honest, and enduring photographs of your most important moments.

Our studio, Persimmon Images, is Seattle-based but we will travel anywhere and climb on anything for that one amazing shot. We work with a limited number of couples each year to give them an unforgettable experience and the highest quality of service. We are proud to call our clients our friends, and we hope to count you among them!
