Q: Will the colors I’m choosing for my linens clash with the carpet at the venue?

A:  This is one of the first questions my clients ask.  What you have to remember is that people in general do not walk into a room staring down at their feet; they walk in staring eye level and the first thing they are going to see are the beautiful linens, chair covers, flowers and decor.  Once all the tables and chairs are in place, often the carpet virtually dissappears.  So, don’t settle for white or ivory if what you really want is hot pink and chartreuse!

Chair covers make all the difference!  If you are tight on your budget, and waivering on whether or not to add linens, at least consider chair covers.  Most venues have their own tablecloths and napkins which are typically included in the catering package and save you money.  Chair covers complete the look, transform the room and hide old, torn, stained and color clashing ballroom chairs!  If your venu includes a more elegant chair like the Chiavari or Versailles (The Prado, Tom Hams, El Cortez) you may then consider accenting them with a sash weaved in between the spindles to add extra color.  You can also consider using your chair cover savings on a specialty linen to add that WOW factor!

We strive to exceed our clients expectations.  One way we do this is by helping them save money.  Most of you start out planning your weddings with BIG ideas.  Then, when the budget comes into play, those ideas often get deflated!  We have found lots of ways to help you save money, but still achieve the decor and design you set out to have for your reception.  One popular linen item is the table runner.  They are beautiful, add texture, color and geometric design to your room.  However, they can be pricey if you want to include them on all your guest tables.  We have found a way to cut the cost and still acheive the "runner" look.  Our chair sashes double as runners!  Although they are not as wide as a typical runner, they are long enough to cover the span of the table and best of all, they are priced at a fraction of the cost of runners.  This allows you to add them to all your tables.  You can even use two in a cross pattern, or have two complimenting colors.
